Dummy Direct Debits ("we", "us", "our") operates dummydirectdebits.co.uk. These Terms govern your use of our website and the Direct Debit service we provide.
We set up a recurring monthly Direct Debit payment, collected via our payment provider, Stripe. The service exists to give you a genuine, low-cost, recurring Direct Debit — commonly used to help meet the "minimum number of Direct Debits" eligibility requirement attached to some bank account switching offers.
We are not a bank, are not affiliated with any bank's switching offer, and do not guarantee that using our service will make you eligible for any specific switching offer. Eligibility criteria are set entirely by the relevant bank and can change at any time. You are responsible for checking the current terms of any switching offer you intend to rely on.
The current price is shown on our Pricing page. Billing is monthly and rolling, with no minimum term. Payment is collected by Direct Debit and is covered by the UK Direct Debit Guarantee.
You may cancel at any time via our Cancel page using your email address and manage code, or directly with your own bank. Cancellation stops future payments; it does not retroactively refund payments already correctly collected, except as provided under the Direct Debit Guarantee in the case of an error.
Every payment collected through this service is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, offered by all banks and building societies that accept Direct Debit instructions. Full wording is available on our homepage and FAQ page.
We have no control over, and make no promises about, whether any bank will pay a switching bonus, what conditions they may apply, or whether they may change or withdraw an offer. Banks may also review account activity and apply their own judgement about what counts toward eligibility criteria; we cannot influence or guarantee their decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a bank declining to pay a switching bonus, changing its eligibility criteria, or taking any action in relation to your account as a result of using our service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
